In Lewis description of a covalent bond, the bond order is given by the number of bonds between the two atoms in a molecule.
➥The bond order can be calculated by using the following formula:-

                       B.O. = 1/2 (Nb - Na)

                  Nb = number of electrons in
                            bonding molecular
                            orbital
                  Na = number of electrons in
                           antibonding molecular
                           orbital.

➥Trick:-
https://cshstudyweb.blogspot.com/2020/04/how-to-calculate-bond-order-in-lewis.html?m=1
Number of electrons = 1,3,5,7 (odd) ➙ Bond order = 0.5
➠Number of electrons = 2,4,6,8 (even) ➙ Bond order = 0
➠Some important examples of bond order calculation on the basis of above trick are given below:-
